AGM/New Committee
The AGM was successfully held at the Cottesloe Surf Club on 9th April, and a new committee was voted in. There was about 30 or so there, with the grommets very enthusiastic about getting things started for the year. Initially there were problems filling the positions, but eventually a few hands were raised to fill the vacancies - many thanks must go to Ben Foley for his efforts last year where he filled all the positions. We have a some new faces voted in, along with a few old ones.The new committee is:
Damien Lipscombe - President
Mark Shaw - Treasurer/Vice Pres
John Govan - Vice President
Dina Sokol - Secretary
James Graham - Junior Rep
Jason Shaw and Ryan Boekeman - Contest Organisers
Laura Pearson - Social Organiser
Some of those who have volunteered were somewhat reluctant at first but it was looking like the club was about to flounder so many thanks to those involved.
We all need help of the members to make this work so send your ideas in, and make sure you help out on contest days.
